This Privacy Policy explains what personal information The World Challenger (TWC) collects through nexteventsbd.com, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices you have.

1. Who we are

The website is operated by NextEventsBd, 1/36, Level 1, Eastern Banabithi Shopping Complex, Banasree, Dhaka, Bangladesh. NextEventsBd is a sister concern of The World Challenger (TWC). We are responsible for the personal information described here. Contact: worldchallenger.events@gmail.com.

2. What we collect

When you register or buy a ticket: - your name, mobile number and email address; - the answers to the event's registration questions (for example T-shirt size); - for races: date of birth, gender, kit size, an emergency contact name and mobile number, optional medical notes, and for participants under 18 the guardian's name, mobile number and consent; - your order: what you bought, the amount, the order and ticket numbers, and check-in and kit collection times.

When you pay: bKash processes your payment. We receive the payment status, amount and bKash transaction reference. We never see or store your bKash PIN or account balance.

When you use the website: your IP address and a random device identifier (stored in a cookie) are used, in coded form, to protect sales from abuse and to limit how many places one device or network can hold. Security services check whether a request comes from a person or a bot. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

When you contact us: your name, contact details and message.

3. Why we use it

- to register you, take payment, issue and deliver your ticket, and let you see it in My tickets; - to send you messages about your order and the event (confirmations, sign-in links and codes, important changes); - to run the event: entry check-in, race numbers (BIB), kit collection and results; - for your safety: the emergency contact and medical notes are used only if something happens to you at the event; - to prevent fraud, abuse and bots, and to keep the website secure; - to keep financial and legal records.

We do not send marketing messages unless you have agreed to receive them, and we do not sell your personal information.

4. Who can see it and who we share it with

- Our authorised staff, according to their role. Check-in staff see only what they need to let you in. Emergency contact and medical notes can be opened only by senior event staff, one person at a time, and every access is recorded. - The organiser named on the event page, for running that event. - The public: for races, results show your registered name, BIB number, category and time. - Service providers that run parts of the website for us, only for that purpose: bKash (payments), Supabase (database, servers in Singapore), Vercel (website hosting), Resend (email), BulkSMSBD (SMS), Upstash (security limits). - [STATE WHETHER ANY DATA IS SHARED WITH THE WORLD CHALLENGER (TWC), WHAT AND WHY, OR WRITE: "We do not share your personal information with The World Challenger (TWC) unless we tell you first."] - Authorities, when the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety.

5. Storage outside Bangladesh

Our database and hosting providers store and process information on servers outside Bangladesh, including in Singapore. They are bound to protect it and to use it only to provide their services to us.

6. How long we keep it

- Emergency contact and medical notes: deleted 30 days after the event ends. - Messages sent through the Contact page: deleted after 3 months. - Sign-in links and codes: expire after 15 and 10 minutes. - Orders, payments and refunds: kept for 2 years for accounting, tax and legal reasons. - Race results: kept on the website as the event's public record.

7. How we protect it

All traffic to the website is encrypted. Access is limited by role, sensitive information is kept separately, and access to it is logged. Ticket links and QR codes are signed so they cannot be guessed or forged. No system is completely secure; if a breach affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.

8. Your choices and rights

You can see your orders and tickets in My tickets. You can ask us to correct wrong information, to give you a copy of the information we hold about you, or to delete it where we do not need to keep it (for example, we must keep payment records). Write to worldchallenger.events@gmail.com; we reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the relevant authority in Bangladesh.

9. Children

We do not knowingly collect information from children except through a parent or guardian registering them for an event. The guardian provides the child's details and is the contact for the registration.

10. Cookies

We use only cookies needed for the website to work: your place during checkout, your My tickets sign-in (60 minutes, or 30 days if you choose "Keep me signed in on this device"), the device identifier mentioned above, and security checks. You can delete cookies in your browser at any time; you will then need to sign in again.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. The current version and its date are shown on this page, and the version you accepted is recorded with your order.
