About
Ashtabarna Marathon 2026 is a mass-participation run about Bangladesh: its culture, its heritage, and the people from every part of it. 2,500 runners will start together at the Hatirjheel Amphitheater and lakefront in Dhaka on 27 November 2026.
There are three distances: the 2K Family Run, the 7.5K Culture Run, and the 15K Challenge Run, plus virtual 21.1K and 42.2K runs (details coming soon). First-timers are as welcome as runners chasing a personal best.
Every finisher gets the Ashtabarna medal, the seventh in our collectible series. Each medal tells a different story of Bangladesh, and we'll reveal this one's design soon.
Ashtabarna is organized by Run NSU'ers and The World Challenger, the team behind Nakshikantha Marathon 2026, which brought more than 1,400 runners to Hatirjheel. We're also planning a few surprises on the course and will announce them closer to race day.
